When we first signed up to adopt I...I was like you. When we first signed up to adopt I wanted a Caucasian boy. But I had a change of heart. These are children and I want to be a mom. What if I am supposed to be a mother to a African-American baby. Who am I to deny that just because I'm being stubborn. <br />We also have a lot of the same issues in regards to special needs. I am the one with insurance so I would have to continue to work after we adopt. We live 35 minutes away from the closest hospital so if it's a special need that could need immediate medical attention we would take HUGE risks living so far away and I'm not willing to put a life on the line like that just so I can be a mother. Only you and Tim can decide what you can and can't handle. Only you guys really truly understand your situations.
